Rain Garden

Planted in 2021, this front garden bed contains 20 species of native plants, grasses, and shrubs. They will conserve water and offer 20 times the biodiversity this area did as turf grass. The homeowner was keen to filter and slow down water from the house's downspouts. Deeply Rooted Landscapes created a modified rain garden to slow the flow down to the sidewalk to prevent any backward flooding into the home while channeling as much rainwater as possible!
